Re-installing matrix

Ok, it's my fault I've done something a bit stupid ...

I upgraded FFMatrix to shiny new Matrix 2 - it looks great by the way - however, i got js issues (couldn't add rows or re-sort) with the ui in the publish page.

As I was pushed for time, rather than actually try and resolve this minor issue I reverted back to FFMatrix. This went fine and appears to be working correctly. However now I need to upgrade and installing Matrix 2 isn't going so good the second time - Although it appears to install ok, it isn't automatically converting all of the FFMatrix fields to the new system.

Ive tried deleting the two tables for Matrix, it's extension and language files but it clearly knows it's been there before.

Any advice for how I might go about a nice clean install would be much appreciated
