MediaEmbed - any plans to add it back in?

Are there any plans to add MediaEmbed plugin back in wygwam? It's alot harder for people to embed youtube etc without it.

Hey guys, sorry I never updated this thread, but we ended up writing our own Embed Media plugin that works with current versions of CKEditor, and have been including it with Wygwam since 2.2.

Embed Media was pretty buggy on earlier versions of CKEditor 3, and doesn't work at all on CKEditor 3.3+.

As soon as CKEditor has a reliable, documented plugin API, I'll write a new Embed Media plugin myself if I have to.

I would second the need for a media embed button plugin. I have a client that was doing this quite a bit...then I did and update without realizing that was removed from the latest version.

Yeah - I'm really luck that my clients are pretty good with that. Other issues where tags are added no matter what we set in the advanced prefs are needing to be removed.

All of these are CKEditor things as far as I know so Brandon is a victim as well...

Yah, I hear you about victimization... Though, for WYSIWYG editors, CKEditor still seems like the best pick out there.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Brandon does with future versions of WygWam! All of his plugs have definitely made my EExperience (that would be a good domain name!) a better one (IMHO, I think Matrix should be built-in to EE).

Without the ability to embed youtube etc without resorting to the source view, the value of wygwam is really reduced for ordinary users.
