I have a couple of sites running 2.4. One is a fresh installation, and the other was upgraded from 2.3.x, and both are having the same issue.
In the publish form, matrix displays properly, but none of the buttons work. I can't click the + button to add a row; I have a file upload field in one matrix, and clicking "Add File" also does nothing.
If I edit an entry what was created prior to the 2.4 upgrade, the Matrix displays all of the previously entered data, but again, none of the buttons work. and I can't reorder entries.
Seems like this might be a jquery issue?

What version of Matrix are you running? Only the latest version, 2.2.4, fully supports EE 2.4.Comment

It turns out it wasn't really a problem with Matrix. It was the Template Variables accessory causing problems with all of the entry fields that rely on javascript. Removing Template Variables solved the problem. -

Hey, I'm having the same problem. I don't have Template Variables installed. I'm running EE 2.3.1 build 20111017 and just downloaded the latest Matrix. Still having this problem. See screenshot. Each time I click "Add Image" the number (178) increases by 10.

Can you view the HTML source on your page and search for "jquery", and try to see if jQuery is being imported on the page more than once? Then do the same for "matrix.js"

That’s OK, one of those is jQuery UI.

Having the same problem on a freshly updated site, 2.4 and Matrix 2.2.4. None of the js seems to be working. -

Sorry, I had an old version of template variables installed and it was conflicting. Carry on!
