EE 1.7.1 - Funky Thumbnail Issue with Playa and nGen File Field

Hi guys,

Haven't seen this one before, and I've used Playa and nGen File Field for uploading images many times before.

Issue:

#1. When I go into Edit mode, the uploaded image thumbnail shows fine with this path: http://www.websiteurl.com/uploads/ima...

#2. When I remove the image in the Edit mode (don't use this image link) and go to choose another previously uploaded image by clicking on "or use an existing file" link, after choosing the image from the drop-down menu the thumbnail that's supposed to show up next to the drop-down menu is broken and shows this path instead: http://www.websiteurl.com/uploads/fil...

The /files/ folder was set up for PDF file uploads. I checked File Upload Preferences, all paths are correct. As you can see it's all working fine in #1 above, just not when I go to choose another file in #2 above.

Any ideas if I can edit/fix the path somewhere manually?

I've attached the split screenshot of the described problem.
