CKFinder can't locate the upload directory
I'm having a problem when using the file browser in WYGWAM. When launched, it displays a "system error" window displaying the home page of the site. I have tried several file upload directories with no change.
If I click to upload a file it tells me to select a directory.
I'm out of ideas.

Looks like the rewrite rules in your .htaccess file are being overly sensitive. Try removing them and see if CKFinder kicks into gear.Comment

Tried removing .htaccess and got the attached error.

In the popup, open up Firebug, go to the Console tab, and reload the window. You should see a GET request show up in the Console. Right-click on it, and click "Open in New Tab" – are you getting that same error?

It's actually loading up the site's home page, although the URL is within the WYGWAM themes directory.
This has to do with how the original developer is hiding index.php doesn't it? I should probably try a different method. -

Ok, I rolled in LG Htaccess, which what I usually set up on sites, but with no change. I'm still getting the error from my previous post. What else can I do to troubleshoot the problem?

LG Htaccess is not exactly known for generating the best htaccess files. I'd go through the file and comment out everything that has to do with redirection, and try and narrow down the culprit.

Have you tried debugging your .htaccess file file as suggested above?
