On the latest build of EE 2.1.0 (20100810) with Matrix 2.0.8 I can't add rows and the file upload didn't work either. I *can* add columns when I'm creating my matrix layout in custom fields which leads me to believe it may not necessarily be a jquery issue? Using Safari 5.
thanks in advance.

Make sure you’ve uploaded the new themes/third_party/matrix folder correctly, clear your browser’s cache, as well as EE’s caches in Tools > Data > Clear Caching.

Cleared browser cache, cleared EE cache and matrix theme folder is in /themes/third_party/matrix (which is why I mentioned that adding / dragging columns works in the Custom Fields section.
I do have Structure and nsm morphine theme installed, do you know of any conflicts with morphine? Any other things to try?-
I believe that *a* Matrix theme folder is uploaded in the correct spot—I’m making sure the *new* one is there.

I'm not sure I'm following. This is a fresh EE install and I just purchased Matrix today. Unless there are more than one matrix theme folders for some reason, we should be fine. in the matrix_208 folder, I uploaded themes/third_party/matrix to themes/third_party on the server

Got it. I assumed you upgraded from a previous version of Matrix.

Check your Console. Are you getting any JS errors?

lots of warnings but the only error I see pop up is d.disabled.concat is not a function but that doesn't occur when I actually click on the "add" icon. It doesn't work in Safari, Firefox or Chrome. Not really sure what else I can try.

Does it say which file the error is coming from?

well, crap, i guess it's conflicting with the Sherpa Template Variables ( http://expressionengine.com/archived_... ). I turned that off and adding rows works now. Have you seen this before?

I was having this exact issue. After reading Mike Hughes last post, I turned off Template Variables and now adding rows works for me as well.

Awesome, Ben. Glad that it helped someone (unfortunately at the expense of some of Brandon's time). I did contact Matt, the developer of Template Variables and let him know. I love that accessory, it's one of my favorites.
