Hi Brandon,
Very happy with all your plugins - I buy all four for every project, every time... Even if they don't really need them - because eventually, they will!
Anyways, working on a small blog and would like to replace EE's native categories with a category channel then use playa to create the relationship. I saw this archived post: http://help.pixelandtonic.com/brandon... - and believe it's the same situation, however I'm having a tough time getting it to work properly.
My Structure: I have the blog channel and the blog categories channel. Blog channel has the playa field that lists all the blog categories. I am then selecting relevant categories per blog post.
In my category view template I am doing a channel call for the blog categories and using url_title to select which category they selected. Then I want to use playa to list all relevant children. I can't seem to get it to work!
The playa tag that seems to be the correct one is: {exp:playa:children field="myfield"}
Can you help me down the right path please? I'm sure I'm just overlooking something dumb
Thanks!

Here is my template code:
{exp:channel:entries channel="blog_categories" url_title="url-title-of-category" dynamic="off"}
{exp:playa:children channel="blog" field_id="my-fields-id"}
{title}
{blog_article}
ect...
{/exp:playa:children}
{/exp:channel:entries} -

Hi Roi,
If the Playa field is in the Blog channel, than the Categories are the children, and the Blogs are the parents.
So, just replace "exp:playa:children" with "exp:playa:parents" and it should work. -

Brandon,
I actually tried that and nothing was happening either! So I decided to simplify my template for testing -- and it seems to error out when using playa along side "switchee"
I'm using switchee to alter my exp channel entries call. Anyways, live with playa is now great if i use an embed
Thank you! -
